Welcome to the Museum of Ontario Archaeology!

Discover the history of archaeology and rich heritage of Southwestern Ontario. Featuring over 12,000 years of Ontario’s history, the Museum also cares for the Canadian heritage Site of the Lawson Village adjacent to the Museum. Visit us to learn about the human experience in Ontario, and life in the Lawson village from 500 years ago.


Tours

The museum will remain closed to general walk-up admissions and large groups as we actively monitor the COVID-19 situation in the Middlesex-London community and adjust our services as required. For your safety and comfort, we offer the following services:

  • Pre-Booked tours (we require a 24-hour notice for all inquiries);
  • Online pre-booking and touch-free payment;
  • Restroom facilities for visitors;
  • Sanitation stations;
  • Masked tour-guides are screened for COVID-19 symptoms daily.

When you book your tour, we will request some personal information for the purpose of contact-tracing, but that information will not be shared with anyone but health or other authorities in the event of a diagnosis.


Pre-Booked Tours

We are currently offering General Tours!
These tours are available Mondays to Fridays at 10 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM.

As of January 31st, 2022, visitors who are eligible must be fully vaccinated, defined by the province of Ontario as two-doses plus 14 days and will need to demonstrate a provincial vaccine passport and proof of ID
for admission into the museum.

Our General Tour is approximately an hour in length and led by our knowledgeable guides who will take visitors through the Lawson Site and our permanent galleries.

Price: $15 for groups of 5 or less.
