Nikon SMZ25 Stereo Microscope

The Nikon SMZ25 microscope features a large zoom ratio of 25:1, high resolution and fluorescence capability. Backlighting allows for dual use as both a compound (lower resolution) and stereoscopic optical microscope. Built-in digital camera for high-quality images. Excellent for use-wear, material component analysis such as pottery temper, and archaeobotanical analysis.


3D Scanners

The Artec Spider is a high-resolution 3D scanner that utilized blue light technology. This hand-held scanner is suitable for small to medium sized objects, capturing high-resolution and details suitable for 3D printing or file sharing. Available with the use of a high-powered laptop and Artec Studio scanning software.

Flote-Tech Flotation Machine

This machine is designed for processing large-volume archaeological flotation samples. Water and screening mesh is available, but mesh should be returned once samples are dry.


Photography Station

The museum has professional photography equipment available for on-site rental, including Nikon DSLR cameras, lenses, lighting, tripods, and light-boxes.
