Description

Orthoceras lived 400 million years ago and can be found in may marine rocks, especially limestone. The name Orthoceras means ‘straight horn’, referring to its long straight conical shell. This preserved shell is all that remained of that ancient mollusk today.

Each piece is unique and comes individually boxed with a description of the item.

The MOA Gift Shop

There is something for the whole family at the MOA Gift Shop with children’s items, books, Museum souvenirs, to our own archaeology-themed craft kits. We also showcase materials from Indigenous Artists and Craftspeople from across Turtle Island, including an exquisite collection of soapstone carvings, hand-crafted by Six Nations’ artists such as Larry Bomberry and the Henry Family.
