Description
“Annette Sullivan is a professional indigenous artist of Metis and First Nation heritages. She trained at the prestigious Beal Art school, in London ON Canada. Her family is part of the Muskrat Metis community. “Muskrat” describes the language and the people whose European grandfathers worked the fur trade in the waterways and tributaries of the Great Lakes between Canada and the United States. The men married Indigenous (Native American) Women, and these unions melded ways that developed a unique culture in-and-of-itself; with its own style of music, art, dance, dress, food and spirituality.”
