Art Card; 8.5 x 5.25″

Joanne Mitchell is an emerging artist and a member of the Oneida Nation of the Thames in Ontario, Canada. She is inspired by the works of the famous and talented Woodlands-style artists, Norval Morrisseau and Mark A. Jacobson whom she greatly respects. Joanna was drawn to the art form for its use of vivid colours and striking black outlines.

She draws her inspiration from her love of gardening and photographing flowers which is reflective in most of her work. She likes to use bright, vibrant colours. Joanne says, “I love working with colours that invoke an emotional response.”
