Hand Built Leaf Tray Workshop with Clayworx
June 25, 2025 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
June 25th, 2025
7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
The Museum of Ontario Archaeology is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Clayworx to offer exciting and hands-on workshops over the summer! This exciting partnership brings hands-on ceramic workshops & pit firing experiences hosted onsite at the MOA.
Join us on June 25th at 7:00 PM for a hand built leaf tray workshop. In this workshop, participants will learn some of the basics of hand building while making a decorative and functional piece of pottery!
Participants are welcome to bring a leaf from their garden (one that can fit within the bounds of a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper) or to use one provided. An instructor will then guide participants through cutting their leaf from a slab of clay, forming the tray, and decorating it! This workshop is a fun way to commemorate Canada Day while learning how to create your very own unique leaf tray!
Cost is $65 per person and includes:
- All required materials and use of tools
- Instruction and guidance from one of our artist-instructors
- Glazing and kiln-firing at Clayworx
- Return of your pieces to MOA for pick-up
Open to ages 16 and up. Children ages 12 to 15 can participate with a participating adult.
