The City Nature Challenge – London is back from April 24th to April 27th! We’re thrilled to be participating in this annual challenge with our friends from UTRCA to document urban biodiversity & connect with nature.
Join us for a guided walk along Medway Creek to observe, learn about and document birds, mammals, plants and other spring wildlife.
The event will begin with a hike in the Medway Valley Heritage Forest to learn about the different plants and animals of spring. We will also introduce you to the iNaturalist community science app where you can upload photos of your plant, animal and fungi observations from the walk as part of the City Nature Challenge!
After the hike, visitors have the chance to explore the Museum of Ontario Archaeology by donation (recommended $5 pp or $10 per family) from 10:30 to 11:30am.
Participants will meet at the parking lot of the Museum of Ontario Archaeology, 1600 Attawandaron Rd. London Ontario, N6G 3M6.
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. This hike will be on uneven terrain and is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
