Cats, crocodiles, ibises, and other creatures were carefully mummified in Ancient Egypt by the millions. But why?
Join Maris Schneider, PhD candidate in bioarchaeology at Western University, for an evening exploring the fascinating world of Egyptian animal mummies.
Drawing on her own research, Maris will reveal how archaeologists identify the species beneath linen wrappings and what these objects can tell us about the rituals and daily life in Ancient Egypt.
Ideal for archaeology enthusiasts, history buffs, and anyone looking for something a little unusual this Halloween season.
