Special Full Day Programs

Life in a Longhouse
This hands-on program will explore the everyday life of the 16th-century Attawandaron  who lived in the Lawson Village. Students will prepare and taste samples of traditional foods, such as Three Sisters soup and corn bread, play traditional games, and more!

  • Outdoor Program: Available year Round (indoor version will be substituted in inclement weather).
  • Maximum of 30 students 

 

Archaeologist for a Day
Become an archaeologist! Students will discover a variety of archaeological methods and participate in a simulated excavation, handle real artifacts and create pottery to take home.

  • Indoor and outdoor versions available.
  • Outdoor available approximately: April-October (indoor version will be substituted in inclement weather.
  • Maximum of 50 students

Program Costs:

These are full day programs

  • $12 per student (4-hour program, includes a 30 mins. lunch)
Chaperones:

The Museum requires ample supervision for all programs.

  • Teachers/chaperones are admitted free at an 8:1 ratio (2 free minimum)
  • Support workers for individual students are always free and not included in the 8:1 ratio
  • Extra/Paid Chaperones = $3
