Sustainable Archaeology

Sustainable Archaeology began as a collaborative research initiative between Western University and McMaster University, funded by the Canadian Foundation for Innovation and the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation. Sustainable Archaeology: Western has merged with the Museum of Ontario Archaeology as digital archaeological research and storage facility that curates and holds in-trust archaeological collections generated through commercial and academic archaeology in Ontario. Sustainable Archaeology’s philosophy facilitates research, and Descendant community and public access to these archaeological collections through a publicly accessible web-based database system. Sustainable Archaeology is now a set of best-practices that govern our new MOA SA Repository.
